FBJ Has Graced Our Presence

The greatest obviously true photo known to man (found here)

Since First Round Bust launched in the olde time days of October 2010, we've been constantly bombarded throughout its existence with one question: "When is Mikael Granlund going to play for the Wild?" Well ladies and gentleman, that question can finally be put to rest.

Minnesota, Finnish Baby Jesus is in the State of Hockey.

Granlund, Minnesota's first round pick in 2010 (9th overall), arrived from Houston to join 19 other Wild players on the Xcel Energy Center ice for their second post-lockout workout. The Oulu, Finland native scored 21 points (8G-13A) in 21 games for the Aeros. He did, however, miss a month during that stint with a severe ankle sprain. While he was initially slow to come back, Granlund had 7 points in his last 5 games.

If you want to hear Granlund's thoughts, along with fellow new arrival Torrey Mitchel, on his first practice, he spoke with Kevin Falness here. FBJ also has his own Finnish writing entourage, as per Bruce Brothers of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Because he is - like Conan and First Round Bust - big in Finland dontcha know. Minnesota is still missing a few players in the post-Lockout workouts such as Mikko Koivu and Danny Heatley but they should be in camp tomorrow per Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
