The first time Wild prospect Jason Zucker faced off against former UFC welterweight title contender Dan Hardy back in May it was just photos. Round 2 ups the ante with video.
Zucker, who is the first Nevada native drafted in the NHL, has spent most of the off-season in Las Vegas training and getting ready for his first full NHL season alongside many UFC fighters (the promotion is headquartered in Sin City along with many of the biggest gyms). That includes grappling with "The Outlaw" Hardy, which you can see after the jump

MMA training with hockey is nothing new (just look at this Dallas Stars video of prospects learning Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu) with players like Stephane Veilleux doing it this offseason in his "Becoming Wild" webisode.
Hardy, who reversed a four fight losing streak in May against Duane "Bang" Ludwig, next fights against season 7 The Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah in the co-main event of UFC on Fuel TV 5 in Dan's native England. Zucker, meanwhile, has no fight lined up outside of making a NHL roster when training camp begins in September.
