Charlie Coyle Is Making Sure Marek Zidlicky's #3 Will Not Be Retired

We mentioned in passing yesterday that Charlie Coyle would be in Toronto for the NHLPA Rookie Showcase. The showcase, which features rookies from all 30 NHL teams,is a chance for players to get photographed for their first trading cards and other memorabilia-related items.

It also leads to seeing a ghost from the past: a right-hand shot wearing #3.

Don't worry, its not Marek Zidlicky. Coyle, who has worn #63 at various Wild development camps, is staking his claim to what has traditionally been a defensive number and one he has worn in college, junior and international play
